Crescent Career Center is excited to announce a groundbreaking initiative to enhance residents’ technical skills in the Twin Cities, MN metro area. Starting on Tuesday, July 23, Crescent Career Center will launch a Help Desk program to provide technical assistance to residents while offering practical, hands-on training to students called Tech Squad!

Twin Cities Area Students
Gain hands-on experience in Help Desk operations, enhancing your resume and employability in the tech sector. This program is a unique opportunity to learn and grow in a real-world environment, preparing you for a successful career in IT.
Metro Area Residents
Call our dedicated number for free technical assistance on Tuesdays or Wednesdays from 8 AM-4 PM or Thursdays from 8 AM-12 PM at (844) 658-0130!
Whether you have software issues, hardware problems, or other tech-related concerns, our trained students are here to help. This service is a testament to our commitment to supporting the local community! Call for help with general computer issues, login assistance, and more.

Tech Squad
Partnership & Transition
St. Paul College will initially oversee Tech Squad’s training until the end of 2024. In 2025, Crescent Career Center will take over, bringing its unique approach to personalized and practical training to the forefront. This transition ensures all participants’ seamless continuation of high-quality education and hands-on experience.
Accessible & Inclusive Training
One of Tech Squad’s most compelling aspects is its inclusivity. The Help Desk training program is open to anyone 18 and above, regardless of their skill level. Whether you are a beginner looking to break into the tech industry or a professional seeking to upgrade your skills, this program is designed to meet your needs.
Financial Support & Flexibility
Understanding the financial barriers that can impede access to education, Workforce Development and Veterans’ Affairs are currently covering the training fees. Additionally, state on-the-job training grants are available, ensuring financial constraints do not hinder anyone from participating.
For those not covered by these programs, there is also an option to pay per student per month, with the Tech Squad program length varying based on individual progress and goals.

Crescent Career Center strongly emphasizes individual mentorship. Each student in the Tech Squad receives personalized guidance from experienced professionals, ensuring that they not only gain technical skills but also develop the confidence and problem-solving abilities necessary for a successful career in IT.
