Crescent Career Center is excited to announce a groundbreaking initiative to enhance residents' technical skills in the Twin Cities, MN metro area. Starting on Tuesday, July 23, Crescent Career Center will launch a Help Desk program to provide technical assistance to residents while offering practical, hands-on training to students called Tech Squad!

Tech Squad

Partnership & Transition

Initially, St. Paul College will oversee the training aspect of Tech Squad until the end of 2024. In 2025, Crescent Career Center will take over, bringing its unique approach to personalized and practical training to the forefront. This transition ensures the seamless continuation of high-quality education and hands-on experience for all participants.

Accessible & Inclusive Training

One of the most compelling aspects of Tech Squad is its inclusivity. The Help Desk training program is open to anyone aged 18 and above, regardless of their current skill level. Whether you are a beginner looking to break into the tech industry or a professional seeking to upgrade your skills, this program is designed to meet your needs.

Financial Support & Flexibility

Understanding the financial barriers that can impede access to education, Workforce Development and Veterans' Affairs are currently covering the training fees. Additionally, state on-the-job training grants are available, ensuring financial constraints do not hinder anyone from participating. 

 For those not covered by these programs, there is also an option to pay per student per month, with the Tech Squad program length varying based on individual progress and goals.

Individual Mentorship & Support

Crescent Career Center strongly emphasizes individual mentorship. Each student in the Tch Squad receives personalized guidance from experienced professionals, ensuring that they not only gain technical skills but also develop the confidence and problem-solving abilities necessary for a successful career in IT.
