Help Desk On The Job Training

Program Hours: up to 4 months

Cost: $1,025 per participant, per month additional cost may be required

Program Description:

Each student will have the opportunity to work on a live, functioning help desk helping end users on basic issues that arise in the day-to-day business world. The participants will be expected to report for work at a specific time. (8:00am- 12:00pm or 1:00pm to 5:00pm) The Help Desk supervisor will oversee the help desk from 8:00am-5:00pm and assist in resolving escalations, answer questions and continue to provide on the job training. Participants will meet weekly one on one with the Help Desk Supervisor to discuss progress. In addition to mentoring experiences with the Help Desk Supervisor, participants will participate in mock interviews, resume reviews, headshots, and career exploration with Crescent Career Center so that they are prepared to enter the workforce when a position has been secured.

Participants will learn, how to work in an office environment, Skills to working with others, when to ask for help and escalate, how to answer the how to communicate with end users regardless of their technical skill, how to open Help Desk tickets, How to document the issue properly, How to close the tickets, review their own customer satisfaction surveys they receive from the caller device builds and reimaging, time spent in a lab environment learning different network devices and uses, Career Consultation (Resume review, headshots, social media, interviewing skills)

Previous IT training is encouraged and may be required if the individual needs it.
